With spot booking, clients can visually select their available spot while booking an activity, giving you full control over capacity and space management.

This is especially helpful for activities such as cycling- and reformer classes, or small group sessions where specific stations must be assigned.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Request activation of the spot booking feature: Contact Trainin Support via Email
– Send an email to support@trainin.com to request activation of the spot booking feature and to have your spot booking maps created. 

Step 2: Confirm your spot booking map configuration: Coordinate with Trainin Support
– Our support team will create the spot booking map based on your studio layout so clients can select their spot during booking. Send us a picture or drawing of the layout, showing the positions of the clients, the teacher, mirrors, and any other important elements.

Step 3: Confirm in which room your spot booking map should be activated: Coordinate with Trainin Support
– Our support team will attach your spot booking map to the correct room.  

Step 4: Open the activity you want to configure: My Company > Activities
– Select the activity where you want to enable spot booking.

Step 5: Enable spot booking for the activity: Activities > Activity Settings
– Activate location and room where the spot booking map is attached so clients can choose their specific spot when reserving the activity.
– Tip: make sure that the group size is in line with the amount of sports in the spot booking map. 

Step 6: Save and publish the activity: Activity Settings > Save Activity
– Once saved, the spot booking map will be enabled for this activity when you schedule it in the calendar. 

Step 7: Schedule the activity in the calendar: Schedule > Schedule Session
– Schedule the activity in the calendar and make sure the right location and room are selected.

Tip: if a session is already scheduled, make sure that the correct location and room are selected and otherwise select them again.

Design your spot layout based on how your training space is organized. Clear and logical spot maps make it easier for clients to quickly choose their preferred position when booking.

– Yes, you can create the spot booking map and send it to the Trainin support team. The Trainin team will ensure they work correctly within the platform. 

Will clients see the spot layout when booking?
– Yes, clients will see the available spots and can choose their preferred position while booking the activity.

What happens if all spots are taken?
– If all spots are reserved, the activity will show as fully booked and additional clients will not be able to select a spot.
– Tip: enable the waiting list feature to make sure spots are filled up when someone makes a cancellation.
