How to create a trial session for potential clients
Estimated Reading Time: 3 minutes
Applies to: All plans

Quick Summary

Trial sessions allow potential clients to experience your services before committing to a full purchase.

You can create a trial by setting up a Product configured as a single session and enabling the trial option so clients can only purchase it once.

Why This Matters

Offering trial sessions helps lower the barrier for new clients to try your services.

It is an effective way to showcase your coaching style, build trust, and convert prospects into long-term clients.

Step by Step Approach

Step 1: Create a new Product: My Company > Products > New Product
– Start by creating a Product that will represent your trial session.

Step 2: Select the correct Product type: Product Type > Single Session
– A trial must be configured as a single session so it can be used for a one-time activity booking.

Step 3: Name your trial session: Name
– Give your trial a clear name so potential clients immediately understand what the offer includes.

Step 4: Continue to the next configuration screen: Next Button
– Clicking Next opens the additional Product settings where the trial option can be activated.

Step 5: Activate the trial setting: Set as Trial > Activate Check Box
– Enabling this option ensures that each client can only purchase the trial once.

Step 6: Configure the pricing and product details: Product Setup Page
– You can set the trial session as free or offer it at a reduced price compared to a regular session.

Step 7: Link the trial to an activity: Activities > Select Activity
– Connecting the trial Product to an Activity allows clients to book the session through your Schedule.
– You can use any activity you already offer in your calendar, or you could create one activity dedicated to your trial sessions when necessary.

Step 8: Add the activity to your calendar: Schedule > Add Activity
– Once the activity is scheduled, clients will be able to book the trial session directly from the calendar.

Best Practice

Keep trial sessions simple and focused. A clear offer with a defined goal helps potential clients quickly understand the value of trying your service.

Pro Tips

  • You can use a slightly reduced price instead of a free trial to attract committed prospects who are more likely to convert into paying clients.

  • You can use the Marketing module (PRO & PREMIUM), to activate automated follow up emails for trial sessions to keep potential customers engaged.

Common Questions

Can a client purchase a trial session more than once?
– No. When the trial setting is activated, the system ensures that each client can only purchase it one time.

Can a trial session be free?
– Yes. You can set the price to zero or offer the session at a discounted rate.

Can I connect a trial to multiple Activities?
– Yes. A trial Product can be linked to any Activity you want clients to try.
